The former fishing village of San Pedro is located on the southern part of Ambergris Caye (the largest island in Belize). Despite its  growth from a fishing village to a now lively town, San Pedro has managed to retain much of its original charm with colorful wooden houses still lining the streets. Tourists flock here in the peak season months of December to May to relax on sandy beaches, swim in crystal-clear waters and snorkel around vibrant reefs.
